Wine in Neusiedl am See

In Neusiedl am See typical white wines include Chardonnays, Welschriesling and white Burgundies. Red wines include Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

Wines from Neusiedl vintners can be tasted and purchased at the vineyard itself or at Weinwerk Burgenland. And of course wines taste best of all at a rustic inn or in one of the good Neusiedl restaurants.

A festival for the patron saint and wine

At the “Martiniloben” festival that takes place every year on the occasion of St. Martin’s Day – November 11 – the vintners open their cellar door for two days. Wine-lovers can taste the new wines in surroundings befitting the task of sampling the quality of the year’s wine. You can get details about this event at the Neusiedl tourist office.

“Neusiedler am See”: Five vineyards, one vision
