Wine in Neusiedl am See

In Neusiedl am See typical white wines include Chardonnays, Welschriesling and white Burgundies. Red wines include Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent.

Wines from Neusiedl vintners can be tasted and purchased at the vineyard itself or at Weinwerk Burgenland. And of course wines taste best of all at a rustic inn or in one of the good Neusiedl restaurants.

A festival for the patron saint and wine

At the “Martiniloben” festival that takes place every year on the occasion of St. Martin’s Day – November 11 – the vintners open their cellar door for two days. Wine-lovers can taste the new wines in surroundings befitting the task of sampling the quality of the year’s wine. You can get details about this event at the Neusiedl tourist office.

“Neusiedler am See”: Five vineyards, one vision

Five vineyards have combined forces to indulge a passion: to produce wine of the highest quality. Each vineyard makes both red and white cuvée wine.

Extraordinary wines in an extraordinary ambience

Weinwerk Burgenland in the haus im puls is an ambassador for Burgenland’s viniculture. Modern architectural elements sit well with the Renaissance core of the building creating a nice fusion of old and new. You can taste a great range of wines in the comfort of a leafy “pub” garden or in the contemporary wine bar.

500 wines from 150 vintners from all the wine areas of Burgenland are offered at “farm gate“prices: from an internationally celebrated star to the product of a young and hopeful vintner.

The in-house grocer offers local good-quality, tasty products. Culinary traditions here are diverse and range from conserved vegetables to different types of jams, Mangalitsa pork, brandies and liqueurs. Enjoy a regional speciality on the spot or take something back for your friends.
